Santa Fe College

THE PROJECT AND ITS ADVANTAGES

Santa Fe College decided to implement a solar laboratory with the installation of several solar technologies including flat panels, photovoltaic panels and solar concentrators. The goal is to compare and assess the potential of each in Florida. The energy produced by the solar collectors is used to provide heat in the building's heat processes.
Rackam's plant, controlled by Santa Fe College, consists of 5 rows of S10 parabolic solar concentration collectors, a ground assembly on 3 modules. The total collector area is 216 m2.
For this solar plant Rackam sought a peak power 135 kWth 1000 w / m2. After 5 months of operation we have already reached that power on several occasions. So this project is therefore a success for Rackam.
